It is Midnight: A Poem

It is Midnight

 ~ Sk Jiaul Haque

My heart is trembling.
My eyes are enduring the pain of tears.
My mind finds your picture in
Millions of brain cells.

Imagination is in perpetual motion...

Melting away the familiar faces.
Disappearing the impulses.
Yes! Compassion will be lost.
But Love! It will be left in emptiness.
Darkness plays the role of light.

Tick! Tick! Tick! It is midnight!

What a mighty girl I met with!
Full of love, trust and care.
The night is about to wipe
A long habit of our togetherness.

The morning is going to be
The end of our last page.
Alas! Does Time end its own story?
