Our Vibrant Meeting: A Poem

Our Vibrant Meeting

~ Anjan Das

The night of fireflies

Flew like the cosmos.

No childish promise

Or first-love emotions.

Layers after layers,

When I finally felt her skin

Vibrant red paved its

Way to my blue throat.

Never been so close to

A living animation.

Took a sip of nectar from

The lakes of hell

And we didn't stop drinking.

One after one, one after one

Saw flowers on the wall

And hue in the air

We fell, fell like angels

Sweating on each other.

Some heavy breathing

A tiny smile with closed eyes.

I felt the skin melted

My raw and rough soul melted

The milky way came to us.
